Unix and TecAce Prepare for Business Innovation and Service Enhancement Through AX Partnership

Discussing business innovation and hair care data systematization based on over 40 years of hair appliance expertise

Unix, Korea's leading specialized hair appliance brand, is collaborating with AX specialist company TecAce (hereinafter TecAce) to apply AX to internal business processes and to structure hair care content data.

Leveraging TecAce's AI collaboration capabilities, the two companies are discussing ways to apply AX across content planning, data organization, and operational efficiency, while preparing for the potential future enhancement of hair care content and services.

The beauty industry has recently been shifting beyond a market focused simply on purchasing products toward one where consumers seek personalized information and content tailored to their face shape, hair condition, and lifestyle. In particular, as the competitiveness of K-beauty expands from product capabilities to experience, data, and expert content, hair care brands are increasingly being called upon to play a new role connecting consumers with professionals.

In line with these market trends, Unix is discussing ways to more systematically organize the hair appliance technology and scalp and hair care expertise it has accumulated over more than 40 years, and to utilize it for future AI-based services and content enhancement.

Since its founding in 1978, Unix has built up technology and quality in the hair care appliance field, centered on hair dryers and stylers. Continuing product development under the philosophy of "drying hair in a healthy way," it has proposed healthy everyday beauty to consumers. More recently, it has been exploring ways to leverage content to more effectively provide expert information on styling and hair health, going beyond its traditional brand experience centered on consumer electronics.

At the center of this is the professional hair designer network that Unix has built over many years. While hair designers in the past learned techniques and customer service know-how together through apprenticeship-style training, Unix is now focusing on an environment where individuals must directly handle not only the acquisition of techniques but also customer management, promotion, and marketing. Accordingly, Unix has worked with professional designers in salons to provide hair care know-how and styling content based on actual treatment experience, thereby strengthening a brand experience that connects professional expertise with consumer needs.

In particular, "Style Library" is Unix's personalized content service that suggests hairstyles suited to one's face shape, providing a foundation that helps hair designers offer more professional consultations and style recommendations. This aligns with Unix's direction of "making professionals truly professional," and is regarded as a representative foundation for more systematically organizing and utilizing Unix's hair expertise and content assets.

This collaboration with TecAce is significant as an early-stage AX partnership aimed at organizing Unix's internal materials—such as product information, style content, and expert collaboration know-how—into more systematic business assets, and utilizing them for internal operational efficiency and future content enhancement. In particular, the hair care knowledge and styling experience that Unix has accumulated over a long period are regarded as important assets that can be managed and expanded from an AI utilization perspective, going beyond simple data.

Through this collaboration, Unix is discussing directions that go beyond the mere introduction of digital systems to systematize collaborative content with professional hairstylists and improve the experience of utilizing hairstyle content. Based on this, the company plans to explore the long-term potential for enhancing hair care content and services as well.

Unix stated that the product technology, hair content, and expert collaboration experience the company has accumulated over a long period are important assets that must be managed and utilized even more systematically going forward, and that it is currently working with TecAce to discuss directions for internal operational efficiency and content data structuring while preparing a phased approach to applying AX.

Drawing on expertise accumulated in AX, Cloud AI Ops, AI Agent, and data-driven business automation, TecAce is supporting Unix in structuring its content data, improving business processes, and concretizing its AI utilization direction. This collaboration is also significant in that it explores ways to apply AX to actual business processes in phases, so that even organizations centered on non-developers can more easily use AI in their work. Through this, the two companies plan to organize previously scattered internal materials and hair care content into more systematic data assets, and to lay the groundwork for expanding into an AI-based work support environment and content enhancement in the future.

Seokhyun Shin, Co-CEO of TecAce GX, TecAce's Korean subsidiary, said, "The core of AX is systematizing the experience and knowledge a company holds into business assets that AI can utilize," adding, "Based on diverse AI collaboration capabilities including Claude and Cowork, TecAce will support Unix in improving its business processes, structuring its content data, and concretizing the direction for future hair care content enhancement."

This collaboration is significant as an early-stage AX partnership in which Unix, building on its hair appliance manufacturing capabilities, prepares for internal business innovation and the enhancement of hair care content. Together with TecAce, Unix plans to systematize its internal assets—such as products, content, and its expert network—from an AI utilization perspective, and to gradually review the potential for enhancing hair care content and services going forward.
