TecAce Software, Ltd (“us”, “we”, or “our”) operates the Naver Map, Navigation (WearOS) application. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This privacy policy describes how we may use your personal information if you download and use our application of wearable technology — Naver Map, Navigation (WearOS).

In this privacy policy, if we refer to:

  • “App,” we are referring to any application of ours that references or links to this policy, including any listed above
  • “Services,” we are referring to our App, and other related services, including any sales, marketing, or events

What information do we collect?

Personal information you disclose to us
We offer wide range of Services through our App. To provide you the best Services that fit your needs, we collect varying information depending on the Services and activities you use on the App. However, we only collect the minimum personal information needed for you to use our Services, including voice recordings, search history, and other similar information.

Information automatically collected
We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the App. This information does not reveal your personally identified information (like your name or contact information) but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, language preferences, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use our App and other technical information. This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our App, and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.

The following information is needed to maintain the security and operation of our App, for troubleshooting and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.

  • Log and Usage Data. Log and usage data is service-related, diagnostic, usage, and performance information we automatically collect when you access or use our App and which we record in log files. Depending on how you interact with us, this log data may include your IP address, and information about your activity in the App (such as the date/time stamps associated with your usage, pages viewed, searches and other actions you take such as which features you use).”
  • Location Data. We automatically collect location data such as information about your device’s location (the degrees of accuracy of your location may vary depending on your internet connection). How much information we collect depends on the type and settings of the device you use to access the App. For example, we may use GPS and other technologies to collect geolocation data that tells us your current location (based on your IP address). You may personalize the settings on your device to stop sharing your locations. Your location will not be collected when you stop sharing your location. However, you may not be able to use certain Services on the App.
  • Wearable Device Access. We may request access or permission to certain features from your wearable device, including your mobile device’s microphone, and other features. You may personalize the setting on your device to change our access permission.

How do we use your information?

Personal information is used to provide Services tailored to your needs in response to your inquiries and improve Services overall.
We use your information:

  • To deliver and facilitate delivery of Services to the user. We may use your information to provide you with the requested service.
  • To respond to user inquiries/offer support. We may use your information to respond to your inquiries and solve any potential issues you might have with the use of our Services.
  • For other business purposes. We may use your information for other business purposes, such as data analysis, identifying usage trends, determining the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns and to evaluate and improve our App, products, marketing, and your experience. We may use and store this information in aggregated and anonymized form so that it is not associated with individual end users and does not include personally identified information. We will not use personally identified information without your consent.

  • Business Transfers. We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.
  • Vendors, Consultants and Other Third-Party Service Providers. Examples include: data analysis, email delivery, hosting services, customer service and marketing efforts. How do we keep your information safe?

We have implemented range of technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards and effort to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security, and improperly collect, access, steal or modify your information. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our App is at your own risk. You should only access the App within a secure environment.

Do we collect information from minors?

We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under 18 years of age. By using the App, you represent that you are at least 18 or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor dependent’s use of the App. If we learn that personal information from users less than 18 years of age has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records. Do we make updates to this policy?

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated date and the updated version will be effective as soon as it is accessible.
